While Liz and Michael were in Victoria, local birder Natalie Walter from St Helens, Tasmania got into the swing of programming acoustic monitors, changing SD cards and batteries to ensure data continued to be collected.

Liz and Michael took to kayaking down the Moira Channel to reach the iconic Moira Lake to monitor the booming Australasian Bittern.

High rainfall resulted in the flooding through the internationally important Ramsar wetland of the Barmah Forest.
